From a young child I had experienced many visions, premonitions and spiritual encounters, strange as it may sound, I just accepted these events as normal. That all changed on one occasion in 1979 at 3am in the morning...

 

I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, shaking me to wake up! I awoke and looked at the green lit dials of the clock, it was 3 am. The room was completely dark and I peered in puzzlement towards the door, "What's going on?" I thought.

Suddenly, out of no-where a beautiful band of differing coloured light came through the door and flew into the room. It apppeared as a living energy of light and moved at an incredibly fast rate. I felt its touch as it raced past the back of my head...I was afraid...very afraid. My eyes followed the light around the room and on its second spin it seemed to come to rest in front of me at the base of the bed. Then, as if by magic, this extraordinary vision of light transformed itself into a spiritual being; he wore an army combat uniform and a red beret on his head, he appeared human and real in every aspect.

The room was in darkness but a great light came from within him, his kind eyes twinkled cheekily at me as he smiled and spoke, "Hello, how are you?" he asked. My mind was desperately trying to make sense of all this and  I was frozen to the spot! The vision itself was mind blowing but "God it speaks!" I thought.

He gently laughed and I was lost for words. The whole experience was inconceivable to me! I timidly tried to make small talk with him and asked "How are you?" He smiled and said "Alright." Gradually my fear receded and with a small measure of confidence I asked "What is your name?" As he began to answer the man gradually faded away and he disappeared into the dark emptiness of the room.

Who is this man, why is he here, what does he want? That night I began my spiritual journey....
